Just got back from a 3-week trip to Sri Lanka (obviously timed perfectly to return for The Masters...the misssus loved that!) and been having serious golf withdrawal symptoms!

However after 10 days of consistent practise swings (on the beach, in the jungle even in a temple - not too popular that one!) I managed to persuade the woman that I ought to try out one of the three members tracks on the island. So stayed in the St Andrews hotel in Nura Elywa (hill country in central SL) and got 18 in at the town's club.

It is a brilliant course in a vallley with jungled topped hills all around, great condition and some testing par-4s. It was even funded in 1883... only problem was that it just fuelled my hunger for the rest of the holiday!

Anyone played in other far-afield places?
