OK, we've got the list of the hated - how about the loved?

Mine would be:

Bryan Robson
Padraig Harrington - for obvious reasons........
Graham Gooch
Gazza
Paolo Di Canio
David 'Bomber' Hopkins - Palace LEGEND
Alec Stewart
Henry Cooper
Dennis Taylor
Pretty much every Palace player
Stevie Coppell - we named a dog after him!! :D

Any more?

Sir Ian Botham - absolute Legend
Sir Steve Redgrave - 'nuff said
Steve Davis - coz he takes the pee out of himself
Neil Warnock - just doesn't care about anything except his team - just the way it should be.
Ian Holloway - see above
Seve - 'nuff said
Ollie - for the dance at the RC.

Dont know if love is the right word but the sportsmen I repect and admire are

Norrie McCathie (Dunfermline Athletic legend) R.I.P

Alex Ferguson

Seve

Steve Davis

Lance Armstrong

Henrik Larsson (seen him score many goals against my team but he was a piece of class on and off the field)

John Terry
Frank Lampard
Lennox Lewis
Frank Bruno
Rory
Luke Donald
Ricky Hatton
Chris Ashton
Bobby Moore
Geoff Hurst
Pac Man

In no particular order

Thierry Henry-the greatest
Jimmy White-peoples champ
Lennox Lewis-dominant
Ray Parlour-Romford Pele
Seve-obviously
Martin Johnson-monster
David Seaman-legend
Dennis Bergkamp-breathtaking
Michael Atherton-a rock
Roberto Baggio-pure class
Stuart Pearce-Psycho

Ill take any obvious LFC players out of it.

Paul Scholes with the ball at his own feet,Matt le tissier,Bobby Robson, Thierry Henry, Brian Clough (less his Hillsborough comments),Jack Charlton (at Ireland), Mick McCarthy (amazing respect from when he lost all those games at Sunderland, but kept his dignity).

Bill Shankly, sorry I couldn't help myself. If we wll lived by Shankly's form of socialism the world would be a lot better place.

There's only two footballers to be admired, mr beckam and mr lineker, both handle themselves with dignity on and off the field.
