Sports Therapy for Golf

Recently i have let myself slip in the fitness department... Anyways spoke to my mate who is a fitness instructor and he has designed me a brutal training program including weights and running... this has left me aching all over with muscle soreness

So i went to see a sports masseuse and had a half 1/2 hour massage the best thing ever i left feeling so relaxed (Helped she was red hot also)

Anyway my point is i played golf the next day and i have never swung a club so well! I felt great

I was never one to beleive all the hype of therapy helping your sport performance but it does alot! I paid £20 for the half hour and money well spent!

Anybody else experianced this?
 
Have you tried a foam roller ? For a one off payment (about £20 ) you have a brilliant tool for self massage. We have a qualified masseur and a fitness instructor in a powerlifting team that I'm a member of and they both love them. Youtube has plenty of videos demonstrating exercises with the foam roller.
I probably spend 30-90 minutes a week using a foam roller and it really helps loosen me up.
