I love most sports but there's a few that, for some reason, just don't tick my box. Basketball....Sky now have the NBA rights. I like NFL and baseball, but just can't warm to it. Massive global sport though.

Horse racing. Not my bag at all, just seems pointless imho.

Rugby league. Contentious this one. Not a patch on union. Seems RL is a contrived game <dons tin hat>

Speedway. Hmmm.

Fishing. Is there skill involved? <reinforced tin hat>

Women's football or cricket. Not for me, sorry.

You?

Rugby and any type of motor sport are the things that first springs to mind for me.

I can watch most sports, and have probably played most of them but I'm very much of the spectator now. The odd sport I haven't taken to is usually more to do with the odd rule that just seems daft.

Hockey. I played it a couple of times and sort of liked it. During the second game I gave the ball an almighty whack, and hit the guy in front of me right in the spheroids, from all of about 5 feet away. He went down screaming, and threw up. We got a free hit. WHY? Why not just play on.

Squash. Played it a good few times but it just doesn't float my boat. As for being hit in the middle of the back and losing the point? I returned the compliment but didn't bother playing again.

Long distance running... why not just get a bus? I set county times at 200m and 400m but quite honestly I got board going round more than once.

Oh yeah, I second Phil regarding combat sport. Especially MMA. To me it just looks barbaric. In a drunken haze I did decide to sign up to do white collar boxing a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I lost the fight, but it sure was an experience. Wouldn't do it again though.

Rugby. Used to love it playing as a kid, then switched to American Football and have no interest in watching rugby these days.

There's a few for me...

Cricket absolute borefest, I can get free tickets to all Kent home games county & T20 through my work not once attended the thought of it alone sends me to sleep.

Rugby in all formats, literally dies nothing for me.

Netball, I don't get it, it's essentially a game of catch with a load of rules...

Hockey got made to play it at school hated it ever since..

Squash I can see how hard it is physically but the idea of running around in a glass box and you lose if you get hit...Why?....

F1 I always used to love it but with modern advancements I'm struggling to enjoy it last couple of years as it's more about the constructors now than the drivers.. however am loving the Formula E since its inception tactical, skill and interesting..

You seem to have got Union & League the wrong way round... :)

And speedway on a properly prepared track is absolutely fantastic. Only motorbike that's ever scared me was a Jawa 500; 14:1 compression ratio, running on Methanol & Castrol R and no brakes....

F1 - yawn - just yawn
EPL - yawn - got Sky Sports but can't recall last time I bothered watching a game
Shinty and Hurling. Both skilful no doubt but I find a very difficult watch as much of the time you've no idea where the ball is.
Squash - see as for Shinty and Hurling, plus I struggle to see and understand the tactical side as each player works to manoeuvre the other into a poor position.

Agree with Horse Racing and Rugby League.

Watched a KSL game this summer at Arundel and really enjoyed it.

Just a point about Squash. There is a rule that if you are in the line of a player's shot then the referee will either judge a let or a stroke (point against the player in line) rather than the ball being whacked into someone.

Obviously at amateur level that judgement is down to the two players but the idea is that you dont deliberately hit the ball into your opponent but make a sensible judgement. The opportunity is obviously too good to resist for many though!

Tennis. Particularly Wimbledon.

Athletics. 5k & 10k races must be the most boring events in the world.

Rugby Union. Set play and then kick the ball 50 yards downfield to the opposition. Really?

Boxing and MMA. Two guys trying to hurt each other just for the money. No different to prostitution IMO.

Speedway. First out the gate wins 90% of

Rugby league. Tackle, backheel, tackle, backheel and so on and on [yawn] for 80 minutes. [might even be 90 mins as if 80 wasn't bad enough]

Cheese rolling. Why deliberately choose to give yourself a good chance of a lifechanging injury.

Darts...folk who think a pub game is a sport.
