Put a new Matrix Red Tie Stiff shaft in my 3 wood.. Previously, I had a very whippy shaft, the new one is doing well (so far). My spin was just under 3000 rpm if I remember right. Talking to the pro about the fitting and he mentioned that he has also aligned the shaft spine. But since the spine was under the label, you can see label when I address the ball - not something that bothers me imo.

I did look it up, and there is some stuff around Spine alignment, puring etc. Most are state side and have dedicated threads on WRX, sandtrap. Do we do it on this side of the pond? Can you do a shaft alignment for existing club without having the need to put a new shaft? Or is that just the new snake oil

Places like precision golf will 'pure' your shafts. It's something to do with oscillations of the shaft under load or something. I guess it can make a difference
