Is anyone watching that cup that the ladies are playing for. Goodness me these ladies are great golfers but why on earth do they stand over evey shot for so long. Has the time they spent in the make-up tent caused them to forget what their there for. I was watching it earlier today and fell asleep. Come on ladies surley you lot have all been to the local supermarket for some shoping, it dosent take you aslong spending £200, but it takes you over 6 hours to play betterball. The tours should make them speed up. Is it any wonder golf has a bad image
Anika is still the best :D

I haven't seen any coverage but I have been to see the Solheim cup live.
I have also played (and lost) on many occasions to some female players. There is no doubt that we (men) are quite different to the girls in some respects. Personally it doesn't bother me and I admire the meticulous approach which they use to shot prep' and the time spent getting a good feel for the shot.
"Thinking" about things seems to be a female thing, and if this applies to golf, well...so be it.....

The time the femaile pros take is OTT-Why they need a caddie to line up every shot is beyond comprehension-I would outlaw this type of assistance-The player should be the only person who should be allowed line up a shot.

I would also ban this assistance in the male game.

Oh, well said!!

Last time I played and had all my putts lined up (by a partner in a pairs comp) I made 6 less putts than average.....

and lining up shots.....ouch....don't get me started.

What should be outlawed are practice swings - what good do they really serve? They slow down the game, and can also be an irritation to other golfers and the greenkeeping staff.

Hear! Hear! to banning practice swings after a round has begun. It would speed play and as no-one could play them no-one would be disadvantaged comparatively.

But what would speed everything up is if every golfer planed ahead. Some regularly only start to inspect the contours of the green when its their turn to putt when often they could have lined up the putt while someone else is playing. Similarly why didn't they read the yardage chart while they were walking to their ball etc etc
