Really looking forward to it.
Choices were £100.00 fine and 3 points or the above.
4 hours of bliss.

Expect to be spoken to like a naughty schoolboy for four hours.
I got done 36mph on the promenade recently..
I paid the £100 and took the 3 points..
I've heard about those speed awareness courses and they sound like my worse nightmare. Some H+S official patronizing and pontificating about the evils of driving recklessly....

HID went on one last year and said it was not as bad as she thought it would be...There is some horrific video clips etc to try hammer home the effects of speeding.
Was doing 40 in a 30. Given the choice of £100.00 fine and 3 points or the course for £85.00.
I thought the fine would be £60.00 and as I have a clean licence was going to take that and the points, but when I was informed it was £100.00 it was a no brainer really.
4 hours spent in a classroom from 12.30 today. Just as well they give you a couple of fag breaks
Really looking forward to it.

It is very interesting. Sat in on one and it's very much an eye opener
I heard the same and the crash test dummy's without a seat belt was a bit of an eye opener apparently
don't you have to tell insurance companies you've been done speeding and been on the course anyway? I didn't think it really did you any favours going on the course.
You are under no obligation to tell insurance companies you have been on an awareness course
