This can't help my game, but I own 2 sets of irons.

Taylormade MBs and Mizuno mp-33s.
Both stunners for looks. The MBs to a 4 iron and the 33s to a 5 iron, although 6 is now as high as I will carry.

When my iron game is off (4-5 poor rounds with irons) I get the itch to swap back over. I do it, then my iron play seems to work again for a while. So odd.
This doesn't work with drivers or putters, just sets of irons.

Anyone else do anything similar?

Hi mate hope alls well.

Your right chopping and changing isn't god for your game.
However confidence is,as you will appreciate its all mental.
I understand we are playing in the same group together at East Devon,I hope
you get it sorted by then as I wont be looking for your balls :}

TM rocketbladez Tours and Mizuno T Zoid Pro's

one is stiff and one in reg- swap between them and play the same with both:confused:

I tend to sell as soon as I buy something new to take away the temptation to tinker. After all the new bats are...well...newer and shinier and help me play better golf :-)

Got 2 sets of Irons (Ping S57's & Ping S55's) and 2 drivers (Ping G25 & Titleist 910).
The second set of irons just sit in a spare bag. It's doubtful they will ever be used in anger, but aren't worth a lot of money now so I don't see any point in moving them on.

A bit astray from the thread title but over the years ive always found the route of most bad iron play is swaying back on the backswing in a bid to hit them harder , fat , thin and all the other shots are a result ,with a new set the tendency is to stay centred and just swing smoothly for awhile , with the woods not making much contact with the turf makes them easier to hit

Ive still got my old MP62 and use those around our 9 hole course or on the beach. Same shafts just smaller heads and less forgiving than my JPX Pro...

I think it's a good idea, I have 2 different 3 woods and swap them about when ones misbehaving it seems to do the trick

If I could find the space for a second set of irons I would probably do the same thing
