Does anyone deliberately keep a spare set of clubs that they use now and again, maybe in your locker at the club for ease or at home because to fancy a change?

Curious as I had a chat with Karl at Lymm on this subject and we have both considered doing it

Not anymore as Karls brother has bought my spare set!! I used to though, just in case mine were in for a grip change, or I just fancied a change....

Hence where the conversation started, I secretly think the big chap fancies them himself as I don't think Andy has them yet ;)

I went to the range ths afternoon with my spare Mizunos MP68's and 58 combo set with a view of playing in a 4bbb friendly tomorrow. Will decide in the morning.

I generally don't have a spare anything, definitely not irons.
It doesn't make much sense to me as different sets will feel different, have different heads so have different flights....just brings another variable into the equation.
I normally use 1 set until they look tired, I wear them out or I get bored with them and then change them.....

I have a spare bag containing two sets of irons (MP33 and TM burners) Two drivers, two 3 woods, a 5 wood , a 7 wood and a putter.

I should really sell some of this stuff :(

My excuse is i flip between the MP33 and AP2s as they are very different irons and with my swing at the moment giving me a lower ball flight, the PX with the cavitys in the AP2s are giving me a nicer ball flight than the MP33's.

Would i ever sell any of it? No chance!

I used to have 3 complete bags - so a set of clubs was always available - so got used to having 'spares'. Once had 5 sets of the same spec irons, but down to my last set now. Though fully committed, there's still a slight doubt with current set, so not ready to part with them yet.

I did at one point but they were worlds apart, as such I believed they weren't helping me so I just stick to the one set although I've got extra clubs that come in and out of the bag dependent on where I'm playing.

I have a spare set of irons, they are the same as the ones I game just with different grips. I got them as they came up cheap and the shafts in my irons are mega rare so it made sense.

I do have various spare putters and wedges that I need to have a cull of tbh.

I have a spare set of Mizuno MP32 irons that are currently living behind my sofa.

I have no interest in using them as the 63's are everything I need. I'd like too sell them, and tried, but there is a limited market for cut muscle irons.

They were sat in my spare golf bag whilst our kid was in Cyprus.... I must admit to more than a cheeky few swings in the garden and a sneaky peek every know and again as they are stunning. I even shed a tear when I handed them over. Not seen him since and I know I couldn't do them justice!
If I ever am in the market for a set of locker clubs I would seriously be tempted by those Adams you have.... In fact.... Just off to ebay now ;)

There's none on eBay. I know, I've just looked!!!! I've finally passed my boredom threshold and have started looking in eBay for some new golf kit to make me feel better. It's not working!!

Have never managed to sell any golf related stuff, unless you count a spare dozen balls. Means I have 6 sets (or part sets) beginning with my first alloy headed US Dunlops.

The last 2 sets I bought (off ebay) were Mizzy MP60 heads, one with DGR300 and a second with DGS300. Seems to work - one for summer and the other for winter.

I suppose I should look to sell what I can but....

At the moment I am fluctuating between Adams A12 Pros and Mizuno MP57's. Different clubs altogether, different shafts too. Will need to settle on one soon as can't really afford to keep one set spare!
