Spanish G.P

Followed it on txt and was entertaining. Promoting VER looks like a great move, well deserved and showed great vision by the RB team to do so.

I thought the commentator was going to wet himself when Max crossed the line

It was a little unique Bob.
The guy is a talent for sure, but I can understand how Ricciardo is feeling a bit pee'd off.
Bit cheesed off that Hamilton didn't win, still think that Rosberg was a bit naughty doing what he did. Hammy had nowhere to go except onto the grass, and once he'd done that he was just a passenger in a very fast sled!
Great race though and congratulations to Verstappen.
Definitely a future world champion. And the not too distant future either.

Seeing that little whiner Hamilton go out like that made my day. And then Martin Brundle spent the next hour crawling up his backside trying to defend him, even after they got Niki Lauda on to slag Hamilton off.

That one is on Rosberg, F1 just don't give a toss about the rules regarding how many moves you make pre corner when defending or how much space you leave.

Lauda just sees any level of risk as unacceptable and would prefer them to just cruise in front and only ever put a shift in for 1 qualifying lap and the start.

I agree the commentary was so one sided it made me want to punch the TV. Can argue all day about if his front wing was level but end of day he went for a move that was just crazy at that stage of the race. Red mist time after getting done round the first corner if you ask me and though Rosberg had some blame I'd say 80-20 Hamilton's fault. Made for a good race though! As for Verstappen.....talk about taking full advantage of the breaks he's had in the last week!! Very calm last few laps and if his future at a top team wasn't already assured it certainly is now.

Personally I'd disagree.
Hamilton is a racer and I can think of no other driver that would have done what Rosberg did.
OK they may have "squeezed" Hamilton to make it a bit trickier, but Rosberg knew that Hammy had him on speed at that point and just closed the door.
Hamilton had nowhere to go other than onto the grass.
If Schuey had done that, we'd be calling him all the dirty gits under the sun.

Rosberg screwed up by having his engine in the wrong setting in the first place. Hamiton was well within his rights to go for the right hand line as its was wider. Rosberg simply didnt want him to pass at any cost. As soon as Hamiltons tyres hit the grass it was game over.

Rosberg claimed he made a "strong defensive move", too strong in my opinion. Should'nt have squeezed Hamilton on to the grass.

That being said i think their both a pair of plonkers

Wasnt a good result for either and whilst I do think Hamilton needs to get real and grow up a little, he is the more naturally gifted racer.
Rosberg was the one who forced him off the track wiht his sharp push right when Hamilton was coming through. Personaly I think Mercedes have already decided they want Rosberg to win this year, German driver in German car and all that, which is why Lauda put the boot in on Hamilton as well as Mercedes swapping the drivers pit crew's around earlier.
