southport golf trip

off to southport on sunday,playing ROYAL LYTHAM monday & HILLSIDE on tuesday.

Any tips ? apart from take lots of golf balls .

They don't call Royal Lytham The Beast for nothing........good luck with that..

Hillside - 3rd hole - the ditch is hittable with a good drive.

11th tee - never mind your camera, remember that view in your minds eye. One to treasure.

Lytham - score well before the final four holes.

Leave plenty of time to get through Preston docks on your way to Royal Lytham. Traffic through there and up to Warton can be a nightmare!

It might be a better option to go via the M6 and M55, a bit longer but easer going, depends on when you tee time at Lytham is

Both excellent courses. RL is tough but if you stay out of the numerous bunkers, you can score well.

I would have thought that as well but depends where the op is travelling from.
