hi - booked for a golf weekend this weekend in Breadsall Priory, Derbys and just seen the weather forecast and feel like crying! ...............we could be washed out all weekend.

So, given its all about the golf, we've all agreed that we are prepared to chase the weather as it looks like being ok south of Birmingham, Northants, Warwicks, Worcs, even north Oxfordshire.

so over to the experts, where should we go? needs to be good, happy to pay a premium for a good experience.....

cheers all!
Rob

Just how far are you prepared to travel for a round ? A lot of great courses in the area.

Forest of Arden is probably the closest course to you( in the area you specified) that is a great course !

Astbury hall in bridgenorth . Probably 90 mins away . Up there with the Best conditioned course and best greens in the uk . 30 quid a round 👍

Getting on a course may be an issue. The Warwickshire has 2 half decent tracks and you probably could get on those at the weekend.

It is due to be pretty horrendous up here.

My mate is playing at FoA tomorrow and said it's due to be pretty nasty there as well.

I don't think the weather will be any different here, the whole of the Midlands area is forecast heavy rain, the FOA is only 5mins from my front door and were due a washout, as will the Warwickshire and all other neighbouring courses.

I think you need to be going further south than Warwickshire to miss it to be honest. Oxfordshire at the very least. You could try the Oxfordshire?
