South Africa

Good morning ladies and gents
Anybody out there got any recommendations for courses to play in South Africa, Cape Town area? I am going there on hols in October and my good lady has agreed for me to have a game whilst we are there.

I'm looking for a nice course playable for a 15 hc that is not too ridiculously expensive.

Pearl valley is awesome, along with Erinvale. These are my favourites, but I enjoyed Stellenbosch too, among others. Basically I don't think you will be disappointed anywhere, but the first two above are fantastic courses.

Just read that the South African open was at Pearl valley last (this?) year. It doesn't get better than that in this part of the world.

Don't remember it being stupidly tricked up, a bit of water (to be expected), but generally nice. Lovely views of the surrounding mountains too.

When I played it the club house was a caravan.
