My Yamaha gave up tonight so looking for a replacement.
Do I go for a Sony to match the TV or should I look for something else.

Sonos Beam gen 1 refurbs going for £230
Is Sonos as good as all the hype ?

I've got the Sonos Playbase soundbar and 4 Play speakers around the house. It's a great system, but not cheap. £230 for a Beam sounds like a good deal tho.

I agree with above. I have a Playbase, 2 Play One speakers as rears, and a series of other Sonos Plays around the house. Audio quality pretty decent - and whilst there is better available, I like the ease of use and way the connected systems around the house works. I'd agree that £230 for a Beam sounds like a good deal. Best bet is to go and listen to one somewhere.

Not sure if money allows it.

But Bose are so much better than the Sonos equivalent imo.

I’m lucky to have the full 3.1 soundbar 3000 set up with woofer and rear Satellites.

It’s incredible for both TV and the Music is mind blowing.

Even the sound bar alone is amazingly rich and deep Imo.

I've got Sonos Beams in 2 rooms, both with Play 1s as surrounds and really happy with them, Rumours of a mini sub to be released soon too.

I've ordered the Sonos beam gen 1 refurb, comes with a 2 year warranty so was fairly easy decision to make.
Could be expensive if its better than the Yamaha and we decide to replace the musicast system with Sonos ?

Saw the announcement, i'm very tempted. i've been after a sub for a while just could never justify the cost. i'll probably wait until their are some real world reviews before pulling the trigger.

Me too. I’ve a (much underrated) playbase and the bass of that is ok, so didn’t want a full sub. The sub mini though is tempting.
