Managed to equal my PB today in a comp at my home course.

Shot Gross 83 nett 66 for 41 points today with (and this is my favourite part) only 32 putts. No 3 putts and a birdie on the 18th which should help me out if count-back comes into play.

9 bogeys
2 doubles
1 birdie.

Should also equal a healthy 1.2 shot cut if CSS stays where it normally does which should take me to either a shaky 15 (15.4) or a solid 16(15.5) depending on if my away score from Thursday makes it into the system.

Looks like I've definitely met my target 18 for the year.

No idea about a win I think the field was quiet big. Should be good enough to have placed especially with the birdie on 18 which should pretty much wrap up count-back because the pin was in a tricky position today. 42-43 normally wins but 41 sometimes does. With presidents day and final stroke coming up I know there are a few out today who will have wanted to avoid a cut so that could work in my favour.

Still haven't heard how I have done in the comp but I have got my handicap adjustment in now. Got cut 2.2!!!

Got 0.1 for Thursday taking me to 16.6. Then my 1.2 cut to 15.5. Then the cherry on the cake. Another 1 for ESR.

Down to 14.5. Cementing a 15 handicap for the season. Looks like I'm going to have to start beating my PB soon.

My wife isn't remotely interested either in my golf antics. Long before I was married I was playing and some nice old girls called me through, I drove off hitting the ball a fair old way leaving an iron in on this par 5. One of the old dears said, " you really need to have young lady to show off in front of." But sadly despite my encouragement my wife is not interested.

Lol would be great if they worked like that at my gaff I'm after a new bag. Which reminds me I have to get the other one I won up for sale.

Comp was sponsored by a local business which has a few restaurants and pubs in one street. Last year 2nd place got a £50 voucher. No idea what first place was. Might keep HID happy if I win something and take her out for a meal otherwise I'm happy with the cut. A prize will give me excuses to keep leaving her alone

Results are in. I won. Better yet I'd actually have come at least 3rd in a stroke comp. Gross winner had 81 and 2nd had 39 points off 14 (although no idea if he had any blanks).
