This post is especially for people who have an adjustable length putter. Our club offered a free putting clinic recently. I went along along nd it was really interesting.
Long story short putter is right length, right lie and my stroke is solid. However because my putter is adjustable I have too much weight at the grip end impacting on pace generated in the putt.
Tried a different putter. Same stroke, better pace and tighter dispersion. So useful food for thought. Also found that I actually found mallets easier to align than blades which is another important learning point especially for those shorter putts.
What I thought was good was other people being given putting stroke advice - essentially told your putter is right for you but you need to do some work.
Will I be changing my putter? Possibly but it was a useful eye opener. Anyone else's club do sessions like this?
