Can't watch my NowTV or Amazon channels downstairs whichever stick I put in!

I go to the HDMI channel as normal and I get nothing but a solid bright blue screen!

I've unplugged the wireless but that's OK as its working my phone and NowTV box upstairs?

I've unplugged everything on the TV, changed the batteries in the remotes, I've tried everything and nothing from either sticks?

When we get a computer at work like that its known as "the blue screen of death." Bu99ered!! Can't categorically say the same for your TV but...

Are the sticks working alright on your other TVs ?

I brought the NowTV box down from upstairs which works fine upstairs and I've still got the blue screen downstairs !

I've pretty much eliminated every third party gadget and turned everything off and on and started again, I've just took the Amazon stick upstairs and plugged that into HDMI port 2 and its saying 'no signal'? I've switched the ports around and my NowTV works in port 2 but the Amazon Firestick says 'no signal' in port 1 also

I can't remember how I set up the fire stick originally but I'm pretty sure its just plug & play so no reason for it not to work upstairs? Its the 'no signal' thats throwing me now?

Are you sure there is a power supply to the sticks

A far as the NowTV box is concerned, yes, as I brought the whole thing down as it's a newer box with a different power supply and that works 100% upstairs but not downstairs, they also have a small power light on them!

No way of checking the firestick, its a sealed plug!

Join a tv forum. Get an infraction, be a good boy for 20 months and you may get an invite off Samsung or amstrad to trial a new telly like you did with Ping 👍😁
Failing that it could be a trip to Currys 🙁

Just the one, I've got a few more than that in the archives :(

What I'm really worried about is going and getting a new TV and then its still the same, my life wouldn't be worth living if that happens!

Try the sticks in someone elses house, BTW the power supply plug is the same as a Samsung phone charger.

I just switched the power supplies over from a charger that I use daily and it still states 'no signal' with the Firestick upstairs?

There's only 1 stick, being the firestick, the other is a NowTV box.

It seems a little bit weird now, in that, the newer NowTV box works OK upstairs but not downstairs so that's telling me it's the HDMI port on the downstairs TV.

The older NowTV box won't work downstairs but will upstairs so that again leans towards the TV.

But, the Firestick doesn't work downstairs or upstairs in any of the ports, so that must be the stick?

2 things go down simultaneously?

Have you got another HDMI source -eg computer, use that to check the TV.

Do you have an HDMI monitor use that to check the box/stick

Looks that way, did you remove it from the tv when the power was still on?
Anyway, I'd be looking for another device to plug in and try to pinpoint exactly what the problem is.

With only 1 HDMI port I would swap the connectors over, they are both permanently plugged in, we'd just disconnect the stick from the port and plug the box in and vise-versa, always done that!

Bingo, the fact neither the boxes or stick works on the downstairs TV suggests the HDMI port is faulty, no explanation as to why the stick doesn't work

happy for you to pop over to mine and check the stick out on my tv, could be as simple as rebooting the firestick to factory settings
