Visible from the UK as well which is unusual.

March 20th starting at 8.45am with 9.31am being maximum coverage, around 85% of the sun will be covered from Southern England perspective - 94% in North Scotland.

2026 before the next partial eclipse and 2090 before the next full one and I guess most of us wont be around to see that:(

Just a heads up and reminder not to look at the sun directly with the naked eye

I took this photo of the total eclipse in 1999. In the days before I had a digital camera, I photographed it through a welding mask. A very spooky experience having total darkness in the middle of the day!

Indeed, I burnt my retina looking at the one about 15yrs ago. Nice little blurred bit in the middle of my left eyes vision. Kinda used to it now, my brain has corrected for it.

Dodgy back, iffy knees, chocolate wrist.
Now a burnt retina!!!
You really are precious James.

I'll be about halfway around my local Par 3 course by then, looking forward to seeing it. Does anyone know where to buy those little shades you can look through to see it? Any change a Tesco or something might have them? Would love to stick one in my bag for the morning.
