I run my works golf society and we usually play courses in and around the top 100 in england.

Next year i've got the following booked -

The Buckinghamshire
Worplesdon
Goodwood

This year we played

Hankley Common
Burnham Beeches
St Mellion
The Astbury

anyway, I need to find a good venue for next year that isn't silly expensive so as to balance the cost of the more expensive (Around £80 for 36 holes including food etc).

Ideas please (no more than 1hr 40mins from Swindon).....

Blackmoor should meet your requirements. We are having our dining room enlarged at the beginning of next year, so will be able to cater for larger numbers. You will need to book quickly though, as I know Society days are very popular.

I've already dropped them an email, cost was closer to £100 though. I'd love to go back there as we went about 5 years ago.

thanks a lot

Burnham and Berrow fits the distance and quality criteria. Get Pokerjoke to negotiate the deal and it will fit the price as well :D

homer your missing the £80 for 36 hole requirement! :-)

Thanks for the suggestions though. Should clarify, didn't need to be top 100. Just a good course, places like Ross on Wye and Burnham Beeches are good examples

We had a GM meet several times at Woburn and pretty sure it didn't come out at £80 and we played two courses and had lunch
