This is really interesting and possibly gives a little window into society these days

A company posted a sign in the middle of Manchester with 5 £5 notes attached with the sign saying - only for people in need

People mainly looked at it and watched it

Some people walked past and one just took one - didnt look in need

Then two young ladies took one and gave it to a begger

Then someone added another £5

Then two guys came along and took the lot and laughed when told it was for people in need

In one way it showed how kind some people can be but then in another showed how some people just take regardless.

Sounds like a waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere.

Problem here is defining "in need"
Someone who has left their wallet at home and needs a fiver for lunch is "in need" at that particular moment.

It was on Breakfast TV this morning. The two blokes who nicked the lot must be very embarrassed.

I don't think so, they'll more than likely not give a toss, probably the type of people who have no moral compass or respect for authority, had they felt any kind of embarrassment then when the lady approached them they would have returned it, not laughed.

Exactly that

Absolutely inevitable in my eyes.
Experiments like this, some surveys and research just strike me as a means to justify the existence of those setting them up.
Do they serve any real purpose?
Not really....
