.....and you can go back to any point in golfing history, play witness to or even change the outcome of a particular shot /hole. My choices would be:

Carnoustie, 07 Open - Let Sergio hole his putt to win on the 18th avoiding the playoff with Harrington. Really think his career would have soared if that putt had been a fraction to the right.

Turnberry, 09 Open - Let Tom Watson hole his putt on the 18th avoiding the playoff with Cink. The sporting world was robbed of a genuinely heroic story that afternoon.

Carnoustie, 53 Open - Just to witness Ben Hogan play golf, and on our own shores would have been incredible. Only person with a 100% win rate in the Open, played 1 won 1.

So where would the Deloreon be taking you?

PS - yes I am bored, the wife is watching some dribble on TV and has hidden the remote.

Kiawah Island, 1991 - I'd make Langer hole that 6-footer to win the Ryder Cup

Brookline, 1999 - I'd have Justin Leonard miss 'that' putt, and I'd also take the opportunity to belt Tom Lehman in the gub for his antics.

The better outcome would have been for Olazabal to have holed his once they'd cleared the green, and then Europe going on to win, jaw dropping!

1950's in general so i could watch Hogan several times over a longer period.

1997 to see the Ryder cup not on British soil and witness Seve bombing about giving everyone advice.

2000 to see Tiger in his full pomp

Pretty much anytime before I actually got i to golf to witness the iconic moments I missed out on by not being a golfer or follower of the sport.

Tom Watson 2009 , just to show that some of us oldies can still compete at the top level, keep the courses short. you will all be old one day if your lucky.

Can't remember which year but when Monty blew the US Open on the last with just a 7i in his hands, about 6 or 7 years ago? Would have liked to see him win a major.

I would love to go back to '77, the Duel in the Sun. The golf Tom and Jack played for the last two days was sublime - a 10 shot gap between them and Hubert Green in 3rd place.

And 2009, it would have been fantastic to see Tom win that one.

Back to Augusta so Seve can have another go at par five and not dunk it in the water and go on and win

That's a good shout Homer, only problem is he would then have denied Nicklaus winning at the age of 46......another fantastic achievement.

As with others, I'd go back to Turnberry in 09 and let Watson get up and down from the back of the green. That would have been one of the all-time greatest achievements in sport if he'd won.

And I'd go back to May this year, when I stood on the 16th tee +2 gross. I'd give myself a better finish than 6, 5, 7 (+8).
