Sad to say, I did. I haven't watched the par 3 tourney yet, but saw the 1st twenty minutes and that Luke was leading at -5...And Monty said "That might well be good enough to win here!".
Its not hoodoo, its a simple fact that has yet to be turned over, there are the best part of 100 players there, most dont take it too seriously so the chances of the winner doing the double are slim. This year it does have a chance though.
I actually think that the 'jinx' is a self fulfilling prophecy. I think that Jack Niklaus could have won the double but never attempted to. Most players concerned by the hoodooand with a chance of winning don't try and win the par 3 comp. I like what Donald had to say afterwards and that he sees it as a sign that his game is in good nick, controlling the ball well on the greens and that it gives him MORE confidence going into the Masters. This could well be his year to stamp his mark at the top of the world. The Matchplay will have given him huge confidence.
Its a team of 4 remember so Luke can still come 2nd with my other 3 occupying the other top slots, though if my betting history is anything to go by, Woods, Mickelson and Fowler will all miss the cut with Luke
Also had Luke in my pick, not worried about no one winning both, its got to be done sometime and he must have gained alot of confidence with winning the par 3 comp.
Not the longest on tour "take note Tim" but imo hes the best iron player on tour and its so important to get the ball on the right part of the green there, and hes got the game to do that, so hes my pick to win.
