I have our Winter pairs quarter final knockout match on saturday morning 10.50. Playing one of our clubs best players and an ex captain.
We beat them 2&1 in the Summer KO, so it should be a cracker of a match.

Then on sunday (8.40) we have our Past Captains Tankard which is normally a good competition. Its the unusual format of bogie, so technically speaking its a matchplay weekend. I am really looking forward to it even with my dodgy knee, as I dont normally get to play both days over the weekend.

I was due to play a medal tomorrow but canceled and booked a lesson instead as I have lost my ball striking and think it is something basic I have slipped with. Sunday will be range and short game then maybe sneak 9 holes before work.

Good luck with your matches!

Range and club cleaning tonight as the Mrs. is out at some netball social.

Tomorrow will mostly be chilling out and watching the Euro Qualifier down the pub then Dinner out on Saturday night (hopefully!)

Sunday was supposed to be my second appearance in the Sunday Club for my 2nd handicap card but HID's brother is coming down so I'm going for a round with him instead.

God luck to everyone competing this weekend.

The last weekend of the "winter" season before the comps start in anger next week.

Going to have 18 holes on Saturday afternoon with the pro and a couple others.

The course has just had maintenance week so all the greens have been micro tined which doesn't make for much fun. Hoping for a nice bit of rain next week to get them closed over.

Sunday will be getting the garden ready for summer, clean off the deck, the tree house, the trampoline and cut the grass. Might need a day off on Monday!!!

Still recovering from a knee ligament sprain. Another couple of weeks hopefully before I'm back in the swing of things.

had to drop out of our Captain vs Vice Captain season opener :(

I played yesterday so I'll not play tonight, but I'm playing a bounce game tomorrow morning then having some mates over tomorrow night.

Sunday will be spent on the couch going "oww me fuggin 'ead.. that the last time I mix sambuca and lemoncello".

It wont be.

Painting the spare room in my mothers house on sat morning then off for a knock about with a mate then sunday its members comp (stableford) then back to paint another coat!!!!!!!!!

Opening pairs on Saturday, looking forward to getting another game of the medal tees. Only getting three quarters of handicap though :( Best net score goes on card.

Play well everyone.

Was supposed to be visting her friends this weekend so had resigned myself to the fact i would not be able to play at all as her mates fella doesnt play :(
BUT we have had to cancel this morning due to HID not feeling too great, I reluctantly :) :)

No Golf this or next weekend.

Visit to the parents this weekend and daughters 5th Birthday party/visit to the zoo next weekend.

Might do a driving range session tomorrow just so I can say "I was hitting it well" next time I knob it round the course.

Last week's postponed pairs comp in the morning with Homer. I thought it was 4BBB but apparently it's combined s'ford and off 3/4 h'cap so it's gonna be tough with us both off 9. I haven't broken 80 at Royal Ascot yet but it's close and I think I'll need it tomorrow if we're gonna stand a chance.

Got some jobs to do at home on Sunday so no golf for me then.

Bit of a wasted opportunity for me this weekend. My wife is away so have the chance to play both days. I have a partner for the medal on Sunday but none of my Saturday morning fourball are free so looks like it is still going to be the one round for me.

Myself and 31 like minded souls are off to Machrihanish to play a little golf and most likely drink too much. :D

brush up lesson tomorrow at 10:30, tehn sunday i have my quater final knock out match for our winter singles. The last couple of matches have been pretty easy, beating the last chap 4 & 2 even though i had to give 9 shots, but the next one is gonna be a hard one. The guy hits the same length if not a bit longer than me (which is normally my strong point) and plays off 14 so i have to give him a shot too.

We're pretty good mates so the banter should be good and the trash talk bantering texts have started already with him advising me he went round one of our local tracks with 42 points on sunday with a net 80... obviously i had to make hom aware i had a 79 last summer off the championship tee's and not the winter forward tee's.... checkmate oddsocks :D

I played a lot of golf through Monday to Thursday so I may not play until Sunday. I try not to play too much even though I've got the time. Must pace myself in my old age.
