So what initiates your backswing?

Waggle waggle and then a Henrik Stenson stutter to the right (cant think of a better way to explain it)

Has been working a treat for me, gets my weight shifting and sets a good rythym.

Mine starts with turning my sternum(breastbone) away from the target whilst remaining centred. This then turns the shoulders and brings the arms back.
Mind you I am a 1 plane swinger. How I love Hunter Mahan and Matt Kuchar ;)

No idea. Never thought about it until now. Now having thought about it, still no idea.

Hope this helps.

Very much the same with regards to the stenson movement.

My right knee starts my swing with a very small dip. Its not something I've ever tried to drill in but has always been there.
I did go through a phase of pushing the club out and away from me, I'm not sure how it started but I'd always hit a bad shot as I would then pick the club up with my hands and take it OTT.

take a couple of breaths to slow the heart rate down , then bam , i really dont think of anything apart from the shot ,

i have no forward press , only on chip shots

A slight forward press. I have tried to take the swing back without doing this but I just end up getting jerky and too fast. This usually results in a big hook.

I push the clubhead away from the ball with my left hand for the first second and then my shoulders take over rotating everything back.

Pretty much simply

Set?
Ready?
Go!

Unfortunately, the simplicity of the first 2 questions get confused by all sorts of extraneous things - like leaves blowing etc - as does the 'Go' part of back-swing which, in spite of the number of times I've been 'taught the lesson' to stop and reset when something 'odd' happens, I very rarely do!
