a changing room/ locker room when you visiting a club an have pay greenfee? Showers with free schampoo and soap,,, shaving gear and after shave....towels.......shoe polish gear.......free wine.......sauna......massage

So what do you think a decent changing room shall contain??

I was playing in Portugal,,there was free wine...a bloke polish the shoes.....shaving gear and after shave ....

All depends how much you are paying I guess, as long as the changing rooms, toilets and showers are clean and tidy that's fine with me.

Somewhere welcoming is always a good start. Some places make you feel you are trespassing by even being in the locker room. To be honest I take my own shower bag and towel to away games so not too fussed about a lack of these although I will use them if available. Never been offered wine or had my shoes cleaned. More chance of them being nicked around here by a scammer!

To be honest Homer we're more likely to be asked to leave because of changing into golf shoes in the car park!

If you go to the high end members clubs like Muirfield and Western Gails, everything is there shaving stuff, after shave etc.

Most places i would imagine give towls and shower gel/shampoo and locker use.

Leather sofas, Sky TV and a bar!

I find it quite disturbing that someone would want to sit and have a drink in a room full of naked men getting into and out of the shower :mmm:

You get what you pay for, pay a £25 green fee and you can expect a nice clean environment in which to get changed. Spend £500 and I would expect someone to clean my shoes, top end toiletries in the shower, nice soft toilet rolls and soft Egyptian cotton towels.

Obviously, in an ideal world you would have a massage parlour to take away the stresses of the round. Someone serving you a G&T as you enter, the clothes you arrived in have been dry cleaned and are waiting for you in your locker. Your clubs get taken away for cleaning before being put back in your car.

I want the changing room to be clean, warm, not to dark , hot water, soap and schampoo and towel included. It shall also be safe to leave things there.....

Why dont have mixed changing rooms-----

A hot shower and decent grog in the bar is all I'm bothered about to be honest.

A carpet a hot shower and a secure locker is about all I can think I expect.

Though I went to one once and there were men in mackintoshes and dark glasses watching footyl on the telly and drinking beer in the changing room, this did seem odd........:mmm: ;)

If I were a member then I would expect it to be clean and tidy with a good sized lockable locker and good shower facilities, as for towels I see them as optional extras. If the club is serious about inviting societies to use the course on a commercial basis then as a visitor I would expect to have a area in the locker room to leave a sports bag securely and use of the showers , with or without a towel depending on wether you wanted to pay for one or not.
