So what do others think about these 38 inch putters

The daddy long legs version is very good

Very tempted at the moment

I have a Cleveland one which serves really well as a belly putter for me !
When the ban comes in I will take a couple of inches off it and use it as a heavy putter

Had a titleist one for a while but didnt get on with it at all. Great from close range but didnt suit me at all from more than 15ft and my distance control was badly affected. Just feels like the balance is wrong for me, though can see why they work for people

I've a Daddy Longlegs too and have to say fell out of love with it mid season and tried a 33" bog standard Scotty off the bought and sold on here but despite checking prior to buying it was cut down and the balance was all out and I couldn't get comfortable with it... in a huff I went back to the Daddy and I'm starting to roll the putts in from everywhere on the green.

I found searching youtube for advice on how to put best with this type of putter and digging out my old putting mirror really helped... Its not everyones cup of tea though as some playing partners hate it :)

I have recently bought the Odyssey Tank 2 ball @ 38" and have to say it is working for me. I have a tendency to be a bit 'yippie' on short putts and with this you can almost use it like a pendulum - with a slightly longer backswing and then let the heavy putter head do the work! Having said that I did miss a 18" sitter during the Woodhall Spa mixed open yesterday

I have an Odyssey tank 35 degree (although I do grip down a bit) which is counterbalanced. It's not my cup of tea (and could be available for £50 soon). It works like a pendulum and the heavy head does do the work and I like the bladed face but just never felt the love. I have tried these longer versions where you are gripping halfway down the shaft and found them little or no different to my more standard length model

My Cleveland is branded as an "Almost Belly" (which makes it a belly for me !)

It is brilliant on anything other than slow greens, very good for me on short putts.
Beautiful milled head

What is is really good at is hitting sweet spot every time
