So planning to watch the latest Planet of the Apes film tonight and couldn’t help but think of the iconic Charlton Heston line from the first film

Take your stinking paws off me, you damn dirty ape!

And since we heard Caesar (leader of the apes) speak at the end of the last film I’m assuming as other apes gain the power of speech the conversations in this film will be a little more relaxed, so what’s the first thing I’m likely to hear one ape say to another?

My thoughts:
  • Jeez it’s hot!
  • Lads, we’re all naked!
  • That’s a tough pin position for amateur golf
  • Do we have enough for a committee?
  • Does the NRA have a joining fee?

But the one I’m hoping for most:

Caesar, Caesar, pull my finger!

Over to you...

They're descended from us?!!!

Obviously Darwin's theory was wrong then.......

Anyone watch that programme about humans on discovery last night?

So, Caesar has NGT actually improved your scores? ;)

Where should I stand when Caesar's teeing off?

or

Can you please bend your knees when you're getting your ball out of the cup?

Slime.

If it was Caesar then surely by the end, "infamy, infamy they've all got it in for me". Seen both of the latest PotA films and I think they are great. Enjoy

Enjoyed the film, I think my fav line was Caesar saying to Koba: Don't throw that bloody spear.. at me!

(skilfully delivered in the style of Michael Cane)

I saw (for the first time) the one before the latest on Film4 2 nights ago. Young boy in cage says the iconic line "take your stinking paws off me you damn dirty ape" to caesar around the middle I thought, and caesar says "NO"

It was a cringeworthy moment for me to have them shoehorn that line in again! didnt watch the rest

CMAC - That line really didn't work in that film as the actor, a Brit from the Harry Potter series, is weak and flimsy. It is a strong line and needs to be delivered by a strong actor, not necessarily physically strong but with a presence. He did not have it. The fact that they threw in a few homages to the original Heston film was something I liked though. Wasted on the youngsters who have not seen the original but I remember the parents in the cinema all ooing and chuckling as references were made, names becoming signifcant etc. Try the film again, it is a good one.
