Sorry guys and girls but im bored of reading negative threads.
Can we create an upbeat one.
Surely someone somewhere must be enjoying their golf.
I for one am really enjoying my golf.
The weather is amazing, how can anyone moan about the weather, when at anytime it could all
change.
I have also been enjoying my golf more than ever.
Playing in a few away days at different courses, winning a couple of prizes.
Playing a few rounds with my dad, which I absolutely love doing as I don't see him often enough.
We have a great fourball on a Wednesday for club night, plenty of banter and laughs.
Also my golf has improved and I feel a good cut coming, aiming for my lowest handicap ever,so
all in all some positive feelings.
Anyone else want to share their Positive feelings.

Got my first cut in ages week before last only .2 but a cut is a cut. Then last week I played to my handicap to come second in the monthly stableford. I am striking the ball better than I have in years and I mean years. Must be the lessons and practice paying off at last.

Good shout PJ

My short game has come on leaps and bounds and I have a new flatstick on the way following a putter fitting so very excited about that :) The only thing that makes me sad is I don't play enough at the moment. Every time I've ventured on the course I've had a great time :)

The weather is great, the Open starts this week and I'm golfing on Saturday. What's not to like? Most definitely in my 'Happy place' :)

Absolutley...

I have played more this summer than ever before. Loving the anticipation of playing days before the round. I,m already thinking about my stratergy for a low one tomorrow night.

The weather is perfect the course are near perfect. Not too busy at the right times, reasonably priced . What more could we want:D

Played more different courses this year than I have for years.
Playing Clitheroe tomorrow.
Won more this year than for a few years.
Hitting some stunning short iron shots close.
Hitting more fairways, and getting longer off the tee.
Will be at Muirfield on Sunday.
Will be at Britain's Best Putter final @ the Belfry in Sept.

Every day is a nice day, and some are nicer than others.

Played more golf than ever this year, am satisfied with the clubs in my bag for the first time in ages, putting has improved and I've shot two PB's in a row, medal on Saturday. All is rosy here.
Got my first kiddie on the way too so it doesn't get much better than that.

All good here.

I'm loving my golf, loving the weather & loving the course. I'm playing well and I've been training for the Windsor Half Marathon (Link to my sponsorship page in my sig if anyone feels like donating :D) and have just realised that having stronger legs and being fitter helps my golf swing so that's an added bonus.

Got a club medal on Thursday, The Mill Ride Ascot Stakes on Friday(36 holes in glorious sunshine) and then the club champs on 27th\28th. I'm convinced I'm gonna be off 6 by the end of the summer if I can keep playing well.

What's not to be happy about?

Rock hard greens mean fewer pitch marks

Live golf on tv with no adverts this week

Away from golf - my flight was on time this morning and they served a cooked breakfast

Great thread :)

Playing so much more golf than last year, I'm striking a ball really well (although I have retired my Driver) and can really feel my game coming together and genuinely feel like there is a sub 90 round on the cards (and possibly even a personal best) if I keep playing the way I am. I've won a couple of competitions this year (something I never thought I'd do) and had my first two proper handicap cuts so am well on my way to achieving what I wanted to at the start of the season. The weather is stunning, the Open starts on Thursday, the beer is cold the BBQ is hot....what more can you want?

and away from golf, our Son is due at the end of August and everything seems to be progressing well :)
