Agree with ya to a point whee , but the americans saw this as an attack on all america & all americans.. not sure i wouldnt be the same mate, my fear is that obama is coming to eire & lets be honest our security wouldnt be the greatest , we have paramilitarys threatning the queens visit & now the stakes are up wherever anything american is , ie embassys & the president etc.. more attacks prob woulda came eventualy , this will speed them up & intensefy them , but they had to go after him to save face for the mighty american image anyhow.. just my twopence worth

I see it as a hollow victory.

It was inevitable that he was going to be captured/killed one day.And im sure that plans have been made for retaliation in this event.

The Americans glowing in the victory limelight is only going to whip up the extreemist mob into a frenzy and that is going to mean a lot of hurt to a lot of people.

It doesnt solve the problem, its chopped off the serpents head, to be replaced, by half a dozen more.

think this is a no win either way guys.. people will say is all over 911... ask the other side & they will say they are been opressed for years & thats why 911 happened . as mentioned in another post, cut off the serpents head to reveal 4 more heads , dead or alive this dosent change much else i think .. but i can understand the celebrations , same as other side celebrate their victories .. victories achieved by other peoples suffering & deaths is a very sad sad hollow victory , hard for me to apreciate the bitterness on either side as it has not affected me personaly. the world is better off without people like binladen which ever side of the fight their on

I didn't say killing him was extremism.

Killing him was the right thing to do.

Celebrating his death in public, en masse, is extremism. It is the exact thing the Americans shake their head at when extremist muslims do it after an attack of some description. Exactly the same, in my opinion anyway.

If the shoe was on the other foot, we'd be hearing "that mad lot at it again, look at them all, jumping around celebrating someone dying - they're barking mad"
