Well just some old sets from the garage....

96 clubs in total including 8 sets of irons, 11 drivers, 8 different vokeys, several other wedges, 8 putters, more 3 woods/5 woods and long irons than you could shake a stick at. Nearly room to park a car in there now :o

Down to my last 3 sets of irons now, just a few putters several drivers and some spare wedges :p

Must be seriously rich to buy all those clubs in the first place, and then not trying to get some money back by selling them on Fleabay or on here. I am always amazed by how much money people are prepared to bid for old tat on Fleabay! What did you do; take them to the council tip or something?

Interested to know what you did with them. Did you dump them at the tip. Could none have a) been sold on here b) given to a charity shop or c) given to help juniors at a local club

My local Oxfam shop will take old golf clubs. I have given them a few that were too old and tatty to put on eBay. Better than dumping them in a skip or at the local council tip! :)

I'm with Homer on option C).

Me and my Dad had 4 sets between us last summer, so we put together two sets of clubs from various corners of the garage and cleaned up two bags and gave them to our local municipal 9 hole course. Ironically enough, we both played our first ever rounds of golf there, my Dad in the 70's and me in the early 2000's!

I considered a, b and c but none of the clubs were good enough to even give to my own children, all the faces were rusty, some had different grips (most of which were like brick) the irons had at least one damaged club per set. If I'd thought any were worth saving then I would have done something better with them than simply chucking them away. I still have a set of Nike and a set of Mizuno that will probably end up at a charity shop and/or the drivers I have left.

Fair comment. Do you feel better for the cleansing experience?

I gave my old sets to the local municipal where they give them to young lads wanting to take up the game but are short of cash. They are delighted and happy to take them irrespective of their condition. Better than just putting them on the tip.
