Have had this on in the background today.

Interesting developments with spectators allowed in today but then, during the morning, that policy having to be changed!

An amusing interview with Barry Hearn just now too. I don't agree with everything Hearn says or does but he knows how to promote a sport.

Hamilton surprised me.

They all new there would be spectators so why bother doing the qualifiers if you knew you would not play with them there.

Qualifiers getting £20k might explain this. I was glad they didn’t reconsider his withdrawal once the guidance from the government became known.

Was paramount in getting it to the top of the ratings in the 80's and seemingly it is on the up again now. Tough call on who'll win it this year. Think it'll be wider open than normal

Very impressive from Ronnie last night and, briefly, this morning. Cruised through and looked very comfortable and at ease. Said he likes the lack of crowds too. Could be a his year.

On a separate issue, i like the fact that any player that has won any of the Triple Crown events wears a gold / silver / bronze crown on their waistcoat but they could have designed the crown better so that it doesnt look like a knock-off sticker from a kids meal at Burger King!

There was me thinking Trump had got a paint manufacturer as a sponsor.

Oof how sour are selbys grapes. ?

Talk about bitter...
First rule when you lose, be gracious and polite at the bare minimum regardless of your true feelings. Otherwise you just come across as a complete twunt, no matter how many people agree with you.

Anthony McGill had every reason to be pee'd off. But he handled it like a complete Gent despite being absolutely gutted. Total respect to the guy, have always been a fan.

Having said that, we will not see two better semi finals like those ever!

It was weird watching what O’Sullivan was doing though, I thought he just wasn’t interested, but hearing his comments just sounds like he wanted to avoid long tactical battles with Selby.
Looking forward to the final, but expect O’Sullivan to win comfortably.

The pundits were discussing this earlier in the week saying that Ronnie felt that in his previous matches with Selby at the Crucible (all won by Selby) he had got too bogged down in the safety exchanges and that this favoured Selby more. Perhaps it was a deliberate tactic to avoid a repeat.

Selby didnt like Ronnies style of play? He should try watching an hour of his own turgid slow play and see how we feel. ??
