Snooker Thread

I used to play snooker regularly but not in the last few years.

I have a John Parris classic cue in perfect condition if anyone would like to make me an offer. ?

At one time it was my main 'sport'.

I enjoy the fact that you can now watch virtually every tournament now on Eurosport although I only tend to dip in and out depending on who is playing.

Hard to decide watch to watch last night, snooker or pool?

Snooker>Pool

Used to play pool an awful lot at the local snooker hall. Thought I was good at that. Own queue, played for a team.
Tried snooker and it was very trying indeed although going back to a pool table after snooker did some wonders!
Don’t mind watching it on TV but as far as playing it. I suck.

Haven't had a game of dominoes or cribbage for years.
Might suggest it to two brothers-in-law on Christmas Day.
I'm doing all the cooking so "someone else" will be doing the washing up while the old geezers can play games. ;)

First shown on TV by the BBC in the 70s to encourage viewers to buy colour TVs.

The memorable times

Ted Lowe

"Another memorable line saw him say 'and for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green.' "
