We have a big betting grid at work which includes a significant number of sporting events. Last year we had to choose who would win the Masters (we made all our selections in July last year).

I chose Brandt Snedeker and I was curious to know what other people thought about his chances.

The other selections include;
- Bubba
- Kaymer
- Westwood
- Scott
- Spieth
- Rose
- Mickelson
- Dustin Johnson

No one chose Rory, which was interesting. Although he was selected for the Open and PGA championship.

So out of the list above, who would you back?

He's got a chance, he's had top 10 finishes in the past and seems to play the course ok but he wouldn't be my pick. Whilst in the top 50 he hasn't won many tournaments in recent years and I feel has dropped off from the level he reached a few years back.

If odds aren't important then from that list I would have chosen Bubba as Augusta is clearly a course that suits him, or Dustin as I think he's got so much talent and will rise to the top of the pack and challenge Rory.

If you just need a top 5 finish then Westwood wouldn't be too bad a pick but I wouldn't be confident of him winning it.

Snedeker's a decent choice. Appears to have rediscovered a bit of form.

Bubba's gonna be a factor if he's in reasonable form. Will be interesting to see how Jordan Spieth goes as there will probably be plenty of attention on him.

Jason Day is another to watch for me.

Naturally I am going to have to root for Snedeker (the winner of our complicated betting grid wins £180) but I do think that D Johnson has a great shot at winning it.

The players I need Sneds to beat are Westwood and Adam Scott. I'm currently top of the grid (after 21 sporting events completed, with 15 remaining). It is genuinely going to come down to the wire!

Anyone of that lot has a chance but Westwood and Rose would be the outsiders for me.

I'd add McIlroy, Jason Day and Patrick Reed to the list as well.

Just set up an account with paddy power.
With free bets on offer, I'm going:
Snedeker@33/1 ew, Casey@66/1 ew, Fowler@22/1 ew and Spieth@10/1 or Day@12/1 to win.
Need to check Stenson's putting as from memory it's been poor this year, as he's 18/1 and could be worth a look if I'm wrong.

One thing that surpised me is Wood @45/1! Really???

He's not even confirmed to play, the moment he is, those odds will tumble.

Meant to say he should be even higher at this point. Even if he does play, does he have more of a chance than Poulter, Casey, or several others on 66/1 and above?? Don't think so.
Strange odds.
