I've just returned some Adidas shoes as the heel had gone after less than 6 months and have swapped them for some footjoy's. My old one were a tad wiffy (I'm surprised they took them back!).

Any tips on keeping my new ones smelling fresh for longer?

Little fabric bags filled with bicarb. Absorbs odour and also moisture. Also the occasional spray with something like scholl odour control.

Scholl sprays not just for your shoes but also feet. Let your shoes air after wearing them and clean them properly. The smell is basically caused by bacteria so if you just put your shoes in a bag or locker and leave them after a round your giving the bacteria an ideal breeding area ( warm and moist ).

I use foot powder-shake in generously after each round, (Gold Bond is a good brand if you have it over there) and also keep Cedar "Shoe Trees" in my golf shoes. This also helps your shoes to keep their shape. Hope this helps. -JB

Don't wear the same shoes all the time (providing you have others), allow to air properly, keep them clean on the outside so the shoe can "breath", wash your feet

Use a spray can once every few times. Never had a problem doing this. Though I could do with taking a pair back. Didn't realise they still would after 6 months!

I got mine in the Christmas sales from direct golf, no questions asked when I took them back. Swapped for some M Projects which he knocked down to £75 from £100 so only cost me another £15 this time.

I've got some odour eater spray so will carry on using that, think I got it too late for my old pair though.
