Well as promised in my thread from Monday I'm here to update on how I got on today. First up a massive thank you to all who took the time to help and advise me on the issues I had.
So today was my second trip to the driving rang using my brothers clubs, although they are a lot newer than mine there not anything special and made by donnay I also used a glove for the first time.
I switched my grip from right hand at the top of the club to left and at the top and although it took a little getting used to I had a few hours in the garden at the begging of the week just to practises swinging and getting used to it. And now it feels normal, I also changed how hard I was griping the club I treated the club like it was a small animal so as just to apply enough pressure to keep the club secure but not to hard I felt the glove helped with this also.
So after a few warm up shots I was into my stride, not breaking any records driving distances between 175 and 225 yards the main thing was that the ball was traveling straight. I still had the ones that would curl dramatically to the left or right but after a basket and a half of balls I left feeling very pleased and without sore fingers .
Going back for a few hours on Sunday to work a little more on my technique. But I'm sure it will all come together
