I recently bought a SkyCaddie Aire II on the basic plan that just gives front, middle & back of green etc. Have used it the last couple of weeks and it works great, does what it is supposed to.
There is the option to upgrade to the Pro Plan for £40 which then allows the Intelligreen features etc. Now I don't really want to spend £40 to upgrade if the additional features are not something I would utilise much, so asked SkyCaddie if they could offer a short trial for a week or month so that I could test it before deciding if I wanted to upgrade. Unfortunately though they do not offer any trials.
I find this very strange as surely it could potentially earn them more revenue. If they give users a short trial and they like it, then there is a good chance they will upgrade their membership. They have lost a potential £40 a year from me as I will now just stick with the free basic plan. It makes me wonder just how many other Skycaddie users out there could they potentially be earning £40 a year from, for the sake of giving a short trial.
Is it just me, or is this a strange policy from SkyCaddie?
