downloading a course this morning when midway through the download it CaddieSync came up with 'cannot down load courses'. The SG2.5 now shows a grey screen with:
0? ? 00 00 , CaddieSync showed 'cannot find' and Not synced and SG later showed additional lines
13 00 00 00
33 00 00 00 (the 33 cycled through 32, 33, 37, 29, before both additional lines cleared, at which time I had to leave for work.)

I've sent an email to the support desk but since I won't see any reply until late tonight, so thought I'd ask if any users have experienced this. I've left it all switched on and connected as I'm not sure how what is downloaded, just course data or a full s/ware reload.

A bit of a panic as I desperately want this up and running for the Belfry.

Oh dear. That's not good. Have you thought about a rangefinder. :D

On a more serious note, I'm afraid I can't help you. But I did map out both the PGA and The Brabazon on Freecaddie. Providing of course that I've got all the right holes in the right order! You're more than welcome to have a look occasionally if you don't get it sorted.

I'll be buying the course guides anyway but as you know the real value of GPS is the help you get knowing distances from the wrong fairway and the more rarified parts of a course that we get to visit.

Another thing to keep your eye on with the Brabazon is the contours on the fairways lads. Sometimes you think you've hit a good shot and it ends up in the drink because of the bounce and roll.

You'll be fine Murph you bandit, expecially if your putter is still on fire, some of the greens are huge so getting the pace right can be the difference between a two and four putt.

I must admit I was over awed by the occasion as I'd watched the Masters not long before I played there so it was surreal playing the holes I'd seen the pro's on not long before.

Holes 3, 9, 10, 18 are just pure golfing heaven.

Sloping fairways and huge greens. Heaven. Not!

One thing I've not got to grips with yet is long distance putts. I seem to have a maximum putt length, and no more. I guess that I'm just going to have to think of the greens being small and get the ball close with the irons. The only way for me to do that is to leave the ball slightly short on every green and chip on. It's more reliable for me than getting on the green and 3 or 4 putting. Go figure. :D

Hepless without trying to scare you, I played the Brabazon in January and we'd has a load of rain, the greens were still lightening so cant imagine what they are like in the summer.

If you struggle with big greens because you underhit putts you may just be alright as they will just keep rolling.

I'm so gutted i'm not playing, I'd rather be playing and shooting 150 than not playing at all.... like me.

I am really looking forward to it. I am playing a fair bit next week, starting with 18 this afternoon, usual swindle on Sat, Medal on Sun, Mon and Tuesday friendlies, then Belfry on Wed, a club match at Batchworth on Thurs, golf as usual on Fri, swindle again on Sat, and then a rest session (gardening) on Sunday.

Wonder if I have enough golf balls?

Thats one Hell of a weeks golf.....

I would stock up on balls if I was you, you dont want to be caught short.

I'm resting a wrist injury at the moment, not sure what it is but I feel a strain down my left wrist when i take the club back. Nearly had a week off already and dont plan on playing till monday in the captain-pro challenge match, then I shall be practising all week next week in preperation for next sundays club championship. Still rather be playing the Brabazon though.
