My wee fella can now operate the sky remote and clicks on the kiddies pre recorded stuff, my worry is he clicks on 'Game of Thrones' or 'Spartacus' or similar, I though stuff like that if recorded wouldnt show during the day without entering a pin- anyone help?

Regulatory requirement that content is encrypted outside of watershed. You dont need to set this it is automatic.

That's what I hoped/thought but I watched Spartacus this morning and it started without any request for pin etc
do I need to do something in settings?

That shouldnt happen unless the program is uncertified. Spartacys should have a background certification of 15 so viewed before 8.30pm it should encrypt. Check your parental controls to make sure nothing has been deactivated.
I just tried to watch Arrow recorded on Monday night and asks for a PIN.
