Sky Sports 1 merges with The Comedy Channel!

Went and watched the FA cup final at the Ricoh in coventry a couple of years ago. God it was torturous.

I'm guessing talking about the Women's Football WC. Calling it hilarious could be seen as being a wee bit sexist - not really very good or pretty awful I grant you. Though in truth I did find England's feeble effort against Ireland pretty hilarious - so OK - really rubbish football can be hilarious.

Whilst football is split into Male and Female games, is it sexist to comment on the quality? I don't think so. Saying the Womens game is poor is just the same as saying League 2 is poor isn't it? The quality of player in that competition is poor.

One of the German women was a little heavy I noticed. Looked really unprofessional.

I was meaning SS1 (Germany) v The Comedy Channel (Ivory Coast).
I have no problem at all with women's football ..................... it can be pretty funny at times though!
It was, however, far more enjoyable to watch than the England game.

I watched the Sweden Women 3 v Nigeria Women 3 match last night ................................... and it was brilliant!
Sweden were the technical team and Nigeria were the physical team. Nigeria were technically useless but boy, were they fast!
It was a truly exciting game and I'm hooked on this Womens' World Cup.
Engalnd to beat France 2-1 in a comparatively dull game tonight.
Anyone else watching it?

I suspect I will give it a go. When I have seen womens football in the past I thought it was awful, Sunday pub level. It sounds as though the game has moved on now so I will try again.

What a fabulous strike!
Womens' football has really come on over the last few years.
'Keepers are still rubbish though.

Aye - it was a good strike but goalie got two full hands to it - just not strong enough hands. Not brilliant keeping it has to be said. OK match though. Englasnd not really in it.

Say what you want about womens fitba, the goal of the season award from FIFA or UEFA ? should have went to that Irish lassie, it was a peach and if Messi/Ronaldo/Neymar/Saurez had scored it then it would have won. :)

Brave man that mentions if the centre forward looks as if their carrying a bit of weight! :)

I was up playing poker late into last night and watched cameroon play.

they have a player, ignore my ignorance for not searching for her before posting, but she was head and shoulders above the rest -both physically and technically. Grabbed a hattrick and will no doubt score a few more

Edit - felt guilty for being lazy - Enganamouiet

I watched bits of the England game last night but the cricket won over. I know the England mens team were awful on Sunday but they don't need to win over new supporters. The fan base already exists. Womens football needs to win people over and last night was not the game where that happened. I hope they get better and I may dip in again to see if it is worthwhile but they need to play well or this will have been a missed opportunity.
