Was looking at above with tags for shot tracking, analysis etc

Is it any good? The on the course functionality looks good but i havent seen much of the analysis side. Does it give you average distances, total etc per club? I think the app is called sky360

I also liked the look of shot scope but the watch doesn't offer distances it just tracks.

I ordered and paid for the Linx GT when I first saw it advertised in GM. They were taking pre orders for delivery a few weeks later. Against my better judgement I ordered. As is usual with this company the launch day kept being put back until a few months later I cancelled and bought LinxVue (which I could have had months earlier).
The LinxVue is basically the GT without tracking. One of the reasons why I was attracted to the Linx GT in the first place was that it linked to your smart phone which gave me a big screen to work off with great graphics. The LinxVue does that too. The only difference was shot tracking which you get with the GT and does look good with seemingly better graphics than Game Golf. That said, LinxVue was around £100 cheaper against the GT and tracking was not my main reason for buying. I was disappointed though. When you buy an item like this you look forward to receiving it. They failed to give any update on the progress or otherwise of your my order and even lied about it on one occasion. After this dreadful service I only bought a Skycaddie because of their reputation for accuracy. I had used Golfbuddy and whilst their distances were accurate I had found some trouble and bunkers that didn't appear on my unit. However, I was surprised and disappointed to find Skycaddie to be the same. The unit does work well though and I am happy with it generally and it pairs to my phone every time. A big thing is that it uses the watch battery to run the navigation so saves on phone battery life big time. Sorry I can't comment on the shot tracking but if they had fulfilled my order I might have been able to.

Thanks for reply. Its disappointing to hear about the issues you had.
Bit of a dilemma as i dont want to spend best part of £300 on this if the service is poor.

I have one the original Linx so can't comment on the the GT Linx, but if you got to the Skycaddie site and look at the support forums there are comments on the performance of their products that will help you decide, which way to go

Which reminds me, me and another guy posted on there to complain about not receiving our GT's and the posts were removed.
I am quite sure that now the units are out and available all will be fine. It was just disappointing at the time and as far as I can tell, despite their reputation for accuracy Skycaddie are no better or worse than any of the others. But that's just my experience.
