Has anyone else bought one of these?
I have one, I think it's great and keeps me warm without too much bulk.

But they are nearly impossible to get one thats fits.

I'm tall and skinny (6 ft 1 & 12stone)and the medium was nice and tight but far too short and the large too baggy.

I opted for the large so it went somewhere near my wrists and waist line - but only just.

Anyone else my build and managed to get a good fit? (mine's Under Armour)

I got the under armour but went for an XL as the L was just way too constrictive even though I am normally a medium in most clothing. I also found the L a little on the short side in the body.

I'm about your size, I'm 6ft 2, 12.5 stone so pretty close. I have a medium galvin green one and it is a superb fit for me and THE BEST base layer I have had, and I through football, rugby and golf have had under armor, canterbury, nike, puma and galvin green. I bought the matching galvin green leggings also- again highly recommended.

Yes Brian, looking forward to it after I looked at your course. Not much water :D
We could always test drive the base layers for performance and submit a review to GM.
Judged on how purple we turn in sub zero temps.
Seriously PM ion it's way

Gil Lotto do a cheaper version.

I think they are all very simlar the name bumps up the price but I am so impressed with the canterbury top. I played Sat with TonyN, RGUK and evita4 and I was the only one in short sleeves, didn't feel cold.

Yep I got 5 Canterbury ones in different colours, got given a load of a mate who is sponsored to wear them.

I love them, they are defo tight on me, just like they should be. Being 5,9 and 16 stone helps.

tried some different base layer garment recently but actually felt colder rather than warmer wearing them & the damn things kept agrivating the hairs on my arms, which felt really cold. Took the undergarments off & replaced the top layers & then started to warm up. These base layer garments are a waste of time & money. You may look smart in them but feel a pratt.

I don't know what brand/s you have tried but you've either tried the wrong ones or got some sort of allergy.
I played on Sat in short sleeves with a Canterbury "cold" base layer and didn't feel cold.
They are superb!! They do not restrict your swing and the pro told me that the modern waterproof tops are design to wear a base layer then top or a base layer, polo then top.

If they don't suit you or you have been irritated by them then fair enough but I know a few golfers that wear them and haven't heard a bad word about them.

wasn'taqn allery, I just think that its a case that all the hairs were pushed the wrong way & it was more that my arms felt cold with that tight layer on. May ty a short sleeve varient to see if it suits me better, or somethiung with looser arms, if you can recommend something.

I have both a long sleeve and short sleeve version i prefer the short sleeve one a tight skin on my forearms takes me some getting used to.

I wondered how you were plodding around in short sleeves without a goosepimple Dave.
I have 6 (yes 6 on offer with staff discount..bargain) of Nikes version of these tops and they are all too tight therefor are very uncomftable and ride up when playing, they now stay in the draw.

I may try an under armour and see how I get on but to be honest, a tee-shirt and jumper normally does me! Most of the time just a tee shirt.

I got some Helly Hansen thermal gear mainly for work, but wear it as a base layer for golf . Really warm, good quality clothing that doesn't restrict movement. Theres nothing worse than playing golf with so many layers on , you feel like Michelin man
