Six manatees rescued from golf course.

After the recent hurricane in Florida six manatees were stuck in a pond in a golf course. There's a video on the BBC site showing them being rescues. They are big bloggers.

Got to see them up close on holiday.

Love them I do and could watch them for ages. Seaworld have a massive campaign that rescues them and nurtures them back in to the wild. Spoke to a lovely woman for about 20 minutes about them

I'm going there (Crystal River) in January and we're staying for a couple of days at the Plantation hotel who own the golf course and we'll play the course as well as swim with the manatees

Went to Florida in Nov after 9/11. First and last day was spent in sea world. Of all the days we spent In The theme parks and water parks. Sea world is the one that left a lasting impression.
