Joined this course in April this year and loving it! It's in fantastic condition and so well looked after. There are 3 loops of 9 - Lake, River and Valley.
Have a look at these pics.

They haven't come up in the order I wanted. The first ones are just a couple of woodland shots where you walk through to the next tee, the bluebells didn't quite come out as expected.
My favourite is pic no.5 - which is the first on the River course, a dog leg right.

Looks nice. Great name for a course, though it sounds like it should be in the States.

The designer must have been influenced by the par 3 at Sawgrass - there is a par 3 with water all round and although only 150yds off the whites it swallows up lots of balls!

Played it many times, certainly a step up from Hassocks. Always felt a little corporate, full of societies - so be interested to learn what the experience for members is like. Always liked the River, Lake combination, although the 1st on the River always catches me out...we'll the 2nd shot anyway. Glad you are enjoying it Chris.

Thanks Ade, yes as I said, really enjoying it and the difference from Hassocks is like chalk and cheese. I wouldn't say it's "Full" of societies though. Having the 3 loops of 9 really helps with management of tee times. They will not allow 2for1's or groupons on the course, which was always a problem at Hassocks with the course being rammed at weekends!

There is a new Secretary at SH and according to the members is a revelation with his enthusiasm and get up and go. He has recently organised a Members Callaway Day, a first for the club, with over 100 players taking part. Callaway put up £500 worth of irons for the winner of the mens comp and a driver for the ladies, with lots of other prizes. His organisation on the day was exceptional and everyone's looking forward to next years event!

Spring at the course - hundreds of primroses!

Not the best quality of colour, supposed to be a sea of yellow!
