Simple one for you...

So my ball striking another ball anywhere is the same situation? RG my drive hits a ball on the fairway, the latter must be replaced?

9.6 doesn't reference matchplay..... What is it was such a match and not stroke play?

You should read through Rule 11 for guidance on this matter.

Wherever you play from and whether it is stroke play or match play, the procedure if your ball hits a stationary ball is the same: replace the ball that was moved and play your own ball from where it comes to rest after the collision. If your ball ended up in the hole, it is holed.

There is only one difference between match play and stroke play and that is when both balls are on the putting green. If you play from on the green and your ball hits another one you get a 2 stroke penalty in stroke play. There is no penalty in match play.
