I hit a 9iron yesterday which produced my first bit of backspin! Obviously it was completely uncontrolled, but it felt like this was a small step in beginning to strike the ball better.

Unfortunately I just missed the birdie putt, but rolled in the par. :)

Are there any little signs or moments that you've had recently that you feel shows a gradual improvement to your case?

As an aside, I hit 9 pars and still finished 18 over. Typical high handicapper or what :D

I have occasional rounds when I seem to be tapping in 1-2 inch putts for par on most holes.

This tells me that my long game is in good nick as i must be hitting alot of greens in regulaton & generally quite close.

I lost my golf ball the other day. It was on it's fifth outing, and I had worn the newness off it, but still sad to see it go. I guess keeping one for 4 1/2 rounds counts for something.

I'm hitting more fairways (only missed two during my last round), I'm finding more greens with my approach irons and my putting's much improved (had far too many four putts this year...) - it's a shame the winter's here!!! :)

Im hitting more greens and regularly making a couple of birdies each time i play, i just need to keep the doubles of the card now !!!!

I'm starting to generate a more distance with the work I'm doing with my tempo (up to 1/2 a club with the mid and short irons) but its still a case of one good shot and then several bad ones where I get too quick or have a problem with collapsing knees on the way back and through the ball. It'll come but good to see others doing better - keep it going
