I have a funeral and a football match to attend early next week. I will be staying in Sidcup and then driving to Stamford Bridge for the football the next day. Is there any recommendations for a reasonable priced course on the way to get 18 holes in. Football is a late kick off so plenty of time.

Probably depends on if you plan to use the South Circluar or M25 to get between them?

If you're going via the South Circular then https://www.dulwichgolf.co.uk/ is probably your best bet, If your'e going via M25 / A3 then you have the choice of dozens of courses along the route.

Using Google maps for directions gives you Chistlehurst, Sundridge park and Dulwich.

Sundridge has 2 courses so that might be worth a punt.

Sidcup is a rather large area, or whats called Sidcup anyway.
Depending on where in it you will be and when you want to play, theres Eltham, Bexleyheath and Pedham Place Swanley which is 10 mins down the A20. I cant comment on Dulwich, but from what I have been told Sundridge Park, Chiselhurst and Langley Park can be a little tricky for visitors rocking up.
I hope you have your parking for Stamford Bridge sorted.

I thought it was a book title.
A rags to riches tale of a young lad who was born and raised on a council estate with no dad but 12 siblings fighting his way up to own his own penthouse in London richest area.
I just spent 3 hours looking for it on my kindle 😂

I’d stay away from cray valley, recent reports suggest peoples clubs and belongings being robbed by the star lane travellers

Enjoy the golf, but not the football.

Ended up at Lullingstone park. Weird course for me as a beginner playing on such an open course (wide open fairways) but with really big slopes from side to side. Hit the ball left side of the fairway to hope it didnt roll off the right side situation.

Really enjoyed it though and 3 pars and a birdie was pretty good for me (Been playing since start of the year). Would recommend it.
