The memsahib has got us booked into this place for 4 nights D/B&B with 3 rounds of golf. The agent is telling us it's a long hilly walk and we need to pay them £60 for a buggy (£20 x 3 ). Anyone played there?
I have a long time ago and don't remember it being that bad. How much will a buggy cost when you get there? Check it out and maybe get one for rounds 2 and 3 if it's too much.
There's a par 3 about 110 yards down to the tiniest green surrounded by stream front side and back
ENjoy
Actually, now that you've raised it, there's a very good story about me, Shrigley Hall and a fabled woman in a red dress that only comes out when VERY drunk - luckily there are only a few people around who still remember it
It's a decent course, played it many times, and a nice hotel. My Mate got married there a few years ago.
It is quite hilly but easily walkable. I've got to say though I don't mind cruising around in a buggy every now and then.
