Just how clearly does it have to be shown...
If its not written in the Box/Space provided but, in the case of a Medal, if the person has written it in the area where they can work out their Net Score, (ie. front 9 Back 9, Total, less H/cap) is this acceptable as 'Having the correct Handicap on the card'?
I think I have seen something somewhere that says 'as long as its identified somewhere on the card'

Yes it can be somewhere else on your card provided it is clearly your handicap, but do give us volunteers as easy a time as you can and put it in the right place!

Normally you write it in the box on the top of the card and the person completing the card writes it when reducing the score from gross to net.

As the players job is to note the gross scores only on the card I suspect many committees will demand you fill it in at the top rather than your marker at the bottom.

A normal committee would not demand any such thing, but for those who have to check scores rather than hunt around for a handicap I'm sure we would all appreciate it if you put it in the box provided.

The starter puts printed sticker with our name H/C , date, tee time and name of the comp.on the card.
.The club computer prints them when we log in for midweek comps.
But we still write our H/ C in the box below the in and out totals.

Interesting, who gets the blame if the handicap is wrong which could happen if an away card was accepted after the stickers were printed. Like the sticker idea without the handicap bit as it is the players responsibility to write on the correct handicap.

You must report away scores to your home club, but as you say you're always responsible for adjusting your handicap downwards if need be.

You do - its always the players responsibility to put their correct handicap on the card.

I'm guessing that williamalex1's stickers are like ours - ie printed by the system at the time you sign in on the day? And at ours, to enter a comp you do have to sign in electronically on the day. The new system we have, shows you your h/c and asks you to confirm whether there are any outstanding scores that would affect your h/c. (Never had cause to say "yes" so don't know what you have to do if you do say yes.)

Much the same here except we don't have the outstanding score option. If I have an away score pending, I'll hand the card into the office.
