Settings and then on the left click on general settings. Change the 'default thread subscription mode' to 'do not subscribe'.

Please don't mark, we would miss you :D

I've not received a pm from you for a while, I'm starting to think you don't love me anymore :o

Just changed setting and still receiving emails is it because I started thread?

I find this actually hilarious, why would you start a thread and then not want to know when or what people have said in reply, especially if your asking a question:confused:

my setting is " through my control panel only" & i dont get any , maybe try that c if it works ... maybe a silly question but you did click save changes after you changed it yea ?

I'm rather the opposite.

I don't really want to get an Email any time some posts. I can see that with 'New Posts'!

I think its a bit different when your the OP!

OK, you may add an opinion on an existing thread and then if your not interested in receiving email alerts you unsubscribe from it in the "Thread Tools" section, but if you've started the thread, I personally find it strange!

Just my opinion :smirk:

But then you are strange Fish :D
On some forums, sales/classified sections are not part of the new posts function, having an email each time you get a reply to a sale thread makes sense. however, when it is only a thread asking where you stand or the inside of a pingpong ball, im sure it isnt as urgent and the new posts feature is sufficient. That said, you can always subscribe to particular threads if you feel that way inclined. Imagine the bandwidth wasted and extra electricity used if everyone was to receive an email everytime someone replied to a thread worldwide. Greenpeace would be furious!
