I only started playing about 3 months ago and have fallen in love with the game but unfortunaty it looks like I am going to have to knock it on the head.

Since day one I have noticd a twind on an just below my right shoulder blade ( I am a leftie). it seemed to be getting worse and today it just completly went to the point that even the the vibration from walking back to the car was complete agony.

It seems to only be with Irons that I get this pain-I can whack away at the driver all day and not have any issues.
Has anyone else experienced this problm or have any idea what the cause might be?

if will be something to do with your swing technique
after a visit ti ht Doc's office & some treatment would pay a visit to a pga pro & have him view the iron swing - after explaining the issue to him

I used to get forearm-pump, hip and elbow pains when I first started playing, a looser grip and swing technique cured the arm pump and hip pains but it took a change of irons to eliminate the elbow issue which I can only presume was down to vibration, sometimes it'd take a couple of weeks for it to calm down...

Go to your GP and get a specialist appointment.

Sounds like a rotator cuff injury which can be fixed with hydro cortisone and a rest from playing for a while.

You may notice it more with irons because you are impacting with the turf which should not happen with woods.
